Rani Mukherjee to be the onscreen partner of Prithviraj

Mar 19, Mumbai: Bong hottie Rani is all set to romance South Indian hotbod Prithviraj in Sachin Kundalkar’s untitled Hindi movie. Coincidentally, this would be Sachin’s debut movie in Bollywood. He is known mostly for his Marathi movies.

Prithviraj is the latest addition of South Indian heroes and heroines trying their hand in Bollywood, the last one being Asin. Prithviraj essayed the role of Ash’s husband in the Tamil “Raavan”. Rani, whose last released movie, was “No one killed Jessica” by Raj Kumar Gupta, co-starring Vidya Banal, in January 2011. The movie did moderately at the box office.

For the moment, Prithviraj is waiting for his movie “Urumi” to release in March of this year; on the 31st. Bollywood is most certainly awaiting this movie as they expect Prithviraj and Sachin to bring in freshness with their new film.

Rani has proved her mettle time and again with movies like “Ghulam”, “Black” and “Veer Zaara”. At one time, she was the numero uno amongst the actresses in Bollywood. Her close competitor was Preity Zinta. Now its left for Prithviraj to prove his worth in Bollywood, all the more because of his pairing with a powerhouse performer like Rani Mukerji.

Khiladi Akshay Kumar to portray a marriage counsellor in his next movie

Mar 11, Mumbai: “Thank You”, an upcoming romantic comedy movie, has got Akshay Kumar in the lead. But Akki will be seen in a different role this time. He won’t be flirting with heroine, or will not be having a Romeo like image in this film. Instead, he has become a marriage counsellor in Anees Bazmee’s “Thank You”. He will be helping out all married women to find out if their husbands are cheating on them and having any extra-marital affair.

The character which is played by Akshay is named Raj, a marriage counsellor, who helps out the ladies to insure their marriage. Akki who is generally seen romancing with the female lead in a film, with his lover boy image, when first approached by Bazmee for this hatke role, was astonished! But later, Akki affirmed that he will be enacting the role of marriage counsellor Raj. Now, whether this marriage counsellor is married or not, and what is his motive behind such a good act of helping married women is yet unknown. Obviously, women are fond of him for his behaviour, while the men, whose extra-marital affairs are found out by Raj, can hardly put up with this man.

This film also features Bobby Deol, Sonatina Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Irfan Khan, Rimi Sen and Celina Jaitley. The movie will be released in April 2011.

He hates being called that, especially by young girls

As we all know Salman Khan is lovingly called as Salman Bhai, not just by his Bollywood colleagues but by his fans too. But, apparently he isn’t too happy about it and he especially hates it when the young girls call him that.

When Bigg Boss 4 winner Shweta Tiwari had addressed him as bhai in one of the episodes of the show, Sallu clarified, "I am okay with Dolly Bindra (another participant of the show) referring to me as bhai, but I don't want Shweta to call me Salman bhai."

And, it looks like his 'Dabangg' co-star Sonakshi Sinha took this as a warning. Sonakshi, who has won several trophies for the best newcomer at various award functions recently this year made sure that she won’t make that mistake. For most of these functions, she prepared a speech in which she thanked everyone from the Dabangg team. In most cases, however, her speech went, "I thank Arbaaz bhai and Mr. Salman Khan..." Well, Sonakshi may respect Sallu a lot, but she clearly avoided calling him bhai.
